We are Not Trying to Be Picky!

If it seems like we’re a bit picky from time to time, please forgive us.  Some people wonder why we insist on Transaction Directives and Organizational Investment Applications and updated Authorized Signers Lists.  “We’re all Methodists,” they say.  “Why can’t I just tell you what we want to do and you make it happen?”

We’d love to be able to do that, but please remember that our books are audited each year by Dixon Hughes Goodman.  As we’ve gotten bigger, our auditors have increased their expectations of us. They tell us “You’re no longer a lemonade stand, but a $100M financial institution. You have duties and responsibilities to your clients.”  Consequently, as we’ve grown, their expectations of us have also grown.

We try to insure that each and every transaction is appropriately documented and properly approved.  This not only fulfills our responsibility, it’s for your protection as well.
