Meet William Coppa

William (‘Bill’) Coppa is one of our newest members of the Development Company Board of Managers. He is a federally authorized tax practitioner who has technical experience in the field of taxation, and is empowered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service.  Bill is also a licensed Real Estate agent in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as a licensed life, health and annuity insurance agent.

Bill is married to Debbie and they have two children.  He is a member of St. Thomas United Methodist Church and is also Chairman of the Council.  Bill is a busy worker in the church and often leads Bible Studies and Prayer Groups.

Additionally, Bill is President of the Northern Virginia Taxpayer Resource Center, has been a Real Estate Agent with Re/Max since 2010 and is a managing member of Linton Business Services LLC. The accomplishment Bill is the proudest of is being the Executive Director of Brethren Housing Corporation.

When asked why he accepted becoming a member of the Board of Managers of the Virginia United Methodist Development Company, his answer was quick and sure.  He said, “Because the Development Company helped Buckhall United Methodist when they needed it the most.”  Buckhall UMC is a church close to Manassas and Bill says The Development Company came to their rescue when they needed it the most.

Bill is a quiet, compassionate man of God and we are thrilled he has joined our Board of Managers.  Please join us in welcoming Bill Coppa!  We are grateful for his time and leadership as a managing member of our board.
